Guess I’ll be shopping at Target more

I needed a few sundries this evening… Milk, green chiles…you know, the essentials.

I’m walking around Target noticing how RED the place is. Everything there is RED. I liked that. Then the lady at the checkout stand says “your total is $34.31.”

A big smile goes on my face as I tell her I’m very happy I came shopping tonight and how glad I was to hear that my amount was $34.31. To my kids’ nausea, I explained to the checkout lady that Utah beat byu two years in a row by that score.

It was at that point in time that the guy in line behind me is shaking his head in disgust and says “I’m a cougar fan.”

Utes destroy Colorado State 49-16

Boy my last post about Ludwing brought some real wrath upon me. Just because I was critical the offensive calling in the O-State game some people here accused me of “not being a Ute fan.” For a guy who has been going to all the Bball and Fball games since 1970, with Ute golf towels, Ute golf shoes, Ute Golf gloves, Ute bath towels and about a million other Ute logo’d items, I was pretty hurt.

As critical as I’ve been about Ludwig, I was very pleased with the offensive game plan today. I thought we mixed it up and weren’t as predictable as a Swiss Watch, like we’ve been.

I hope this is really true, and that CSU’s defense wasn’t so bad that no matter what we did looked like good play calling.

Utes pull off stunning win after being down 28-20 with 2:00 left

I’ve never been a Ludwig fan and that hasn’t changed. In last nights game I thought the offensive play calling sucked.

I brought my girlfriend who was experiencing her first football game of HER LIFE. She knew nothing about football. Even she kept saying how predictable the plays were.

We were flat. Johnson was flat. The play selection sucked. All that said we won one of the most exciting games I’ve had the pleasure of attending.

Utes beat Michigan in the Big House

Man what a great first day of college football last week. The Utes go into the Big House and beat Michigan in front of over 100,000 people and millions on national TV.

The 25-23 score wasn’t really indicative of most of the game. Utah thumped Michigan in the first half and led 25-10 most of the way with nearly 5x the offensive output.

Our defense was huge, holding Michigan to a mere 36 yards rushing.

Congrats on hanging on for the victory. One down, 11 to go.
